Leve de Wiskunde!
On 6 April 2018 the 16th edition of ‘Leve de Wiskunde’ will take place at the Faculty of Science of the University of Amsterdam. Organisors of this event are the Korteweg-de Vries Institute for Mathematics (KdVI) and the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC).
This yearly mathematical congress gives an insight in actual developments in mathematics. Scientists will give information about their research in different mathematical disciplines.
The congress consists of various lectures during the day, given by scientists affiliated to one of the Amsterdam Universities. The lectures are all built around mathematics. The day will be closed with drinks and the opportunity to meet colleagues and scientists in an informal setting.
Teachers in mathematics, high school students especially (5- and 6-VWO) and everybody else who is interested in mathematics studies are cordially invited to this event.
Each teacher is allowed to bring a maximum of 5 students to the event (max. 10 students per school).
The level is not fit for 4-VWO students. They will be welcome next year.
For teachers there is the possibility to receive a certificate of participation.
