Jacob de Zoete wins KdVI Equalizing Chess Tournament

For the first time in KdVI history, nine brilliant minds of the institute put their intellect to the test for eternal glory. A total of 45 equalizing chess matches were played on the balcony of the canteen in multiple rounds. The final game on the big board in the Science Park 904 building was an epic clash between the last two competitors standing: David Koops and Jacob de Zoete. The hysterical spectating crowd had to be reminded to be quiet during the last moments of ultimate concentration when Koops finally broke. De Zoete did not take any prisoners and finished the game in a swift stroke of epiphany.
