Lex Schrijver (UvA) receives EURO Gold Medal 2015

Researcher Lex Schrijver (UvA - Korteweg-de Vries Institute and CWI) has been awarded the EURO Gold Medal 2015.

The award was presented at the opening session of the EURO 2015 Conference on Operational Research in Glasgow (Scotland). This conference took place from 12 to 15 July 2015.

Since 1990 Lex Schrijver is professor of discrete mathematics and optimization at the University of Amsterdam and researcher at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) in Amsterdam. 

The EURO Gold Medal is the highest distinction within Operational Research in Europe. It is awarded for an outstanding contribution to Operational Research.
