On April 5th the 17th edition of 'Leve de Wiskunde!' took place at Science Park 123.
About 70 teachers in mathematics and 60 high school students attended the 'Leve de Wiskunde!' congress.
The congress was opened by Jan Wiegerinck and lectures were given by Arnoud den Boer: ‘Prijzen leren uit data', Erik Winands: 'Waarom wiskunde steeds belangrijker wordt in de financiële sector' and Maris Ozols: "Quantum Algorithms and Hadamard matrices'. Furthermore Raf Bocklandt gave a lecture about 'Het lekkerste bewijs uit de meetkunde' which he demonstrated with icecream, malteser chocolates and cones and Zoë Schroot got all participants to tie knots in her lecture 'In de knoop'. During the lunch break the participants could play outside with life-size mazes.
