Titel: The moduli space of K3 surfaces and its Kodaira dimension
Abstract:
"In algebraic geometry, K3 surfaces form a particular class of algebraic surfaces. To aid our understanding of these surfaces, we look at their so- called moduli space. A moduli space parametrises all possible objects of given type, and often has an interesting geometric structure itself.
We try to determine the value of a certain geometric invariant (called the Kodaira dimension) of the moduli space of K3 surfaces. This is a problem that has been solved to a large extent in the past thirty years, but some cases remain open. We have developed a new strategy to compute some more of these cases.
In this talk, I will try to explain these and related concepts and some of my contributions."
