The exhibition shows mathematical patterns in Persian carpets as well as the mathematical art of Escher and shapes that issue from formulas. There is also the possibility of creating your own mathematical patterns on interactive screens and to solve puzzles.
The organisation specially focuses on secondary school students and their teachers with the purpose to introduce them to mathematics in all its aspects. The exhibition is also interesting for the larger public.
IMAGINARY is organised on seven different locations in the Netherlands between 19 September 2016 and 7 July 2017. The exhibition will be in Amsterdam from 21 November 2016 to 9 December 2016. Entrance is free.
