Title: Bispectrality in Quantum Integrable Particle Systems and Special Functions

Abstract

Around 1985 Duistermaat and Grünbaum introduced the concept of the so-called "bispectral problem". In this talk we discuss how the notion of bispectrality has evolved into a fundamental tool in the study of special functions associated with quantum integrable particle models.
